They said they were from the irs and that they needed my social security number and all my other information and i gave it to them and now im afriad it was a scam

These nuisance callers ring everyday, but hang up on you as soon as you take the call.

This person posted a rental property on Craigslist for San Mateo. The 2Br seemed like good value but when I called the number it took over 10 rings before someone picked up - it was an answering service and due to the bad quality of the line I suspect that this call was transferred over seas. It came off as being very suspect.

This place called me several times asing for my daughter by her maiden name. When I questioned the man he gave me his name- Richard Westbrook- and refused to discuss the reason he was seeking my daughter. He claimed she had given my number in Wisconsin as a "callback number" when she lives in Kansas. As far as I know she has NEVER even set foot in Wisconsin. He then asked me to give him her home phone number to which I told him HELL NO! I told him not to call here again anf he apologized for disturbing my evening.

They've been calling me every couple of days since the beginning of September. I finally googled the number and saw all the complaints, so I called them back and told them to take me off their calling list. The woman, who clearly did not speak English well, kept asking if I had a Macy's or Bloomingdales card, or if anyone in my family did. I told her no, and to take my number off. Then she said she would check to see or something and kept asking me for my name and information. Seriously... wow. Why would you need my name to take a phone number off. Don't give them any information!!

This guy Jim keeps calling me saying he is from the United Nations Legal Department. Which, according to the number I looked up, is a lie. He claims his name is JIM but is of Middle Eastern decent according to his accent. He claims there is a law suit against my name (which is a load of crap.) He says I took out a loan of $2500 and if I don't pay it back I will go to jail. I have never received such funds. He asks for credit card information and access to your checking account. Do not do this! This is a scam according to the FBI website!!

This number called my brothers home and told him that he is Robert looking for me. He told my brother that he has been unable to reach me. That he is wanting to sue for me some bounced checks, but I have not had a checking account for months, and I didn't right checks, I used bill pay, and all of those cleared. He told my brother that he couldn't give him information unless he was my parent or my spouse.
